LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A community gathered to honor a 3-year-old girl stabbed to death by her babysitter.
Loved ones held a vigil in honor of Journei Ross. The group shared memories and sang her favorite songs.
Her mother told FOX5 that Journei was on the autism spectrum and was non-verbal but she loved music.
“She started strumming guitars and matching the sound. She started singing Rihanna from, Vivo. It was just amazing seeing her grow,” said Phalan Whitson, Toddler’s Mother. “And from even just with music, grow from music and the talking. It was amazing seeing her grow and I won’t be able to see that anymore,”
