LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Downtown Summerlin will host its ninth annual Lunar New Year parade on Tuesday, Feb. 17, celebrating the Year of the Horse.

The parade begins at 6 p.m. along Park Centre Drive and features fan dancers, stilt walkers and an oversized dragon. Cirque du Soleil’s KÀ Ambassadors will make a special pre-parade appearance, bringing theatrical artistry to the celebration.

Downtown Summerlin began celebrating the Year of the Horse in early February with decorations in common areas. The displays include oversized 2026 letters at the Macy’s Promenade and a large Chinese dragon at the Dining Arroyo.

“This is our ninth year celebrating Lunar New Year at Downtown Summerlin, and it has easily become a fan favorite with its colorful and larger-than-life features,” said Danielle Bisterfeldt, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Consumer Experience for Summerlin.

Bisterfeldt said the celebration honors the city’s Asian heritage and culture and has become a seasonal tradition for the community.
