LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police took a man into custody who ran at a private plane after breaking doors.

The incident happened Sunday morning. Hector Posado-Mendoza faces trespass and violation of airport rules.

When officers arrived at Harry Reid International Airport, they spoke to employees of the private plane. They said Posado-Mendoza was sweating and acting paranoid.

He asked people nearby to call 911. He would grab a landline phone on a receptionist’s counter and throw it on the ground along with his cellphone. He asked for a torch light.

Police learned that the suspect walked to two sets of sliding glass doors and knocked the airport badge reader off the wall. He pushed through and ran toward the private plane.

Police said he never made entry inside.

Officers found Posado-Mendoza sitting on the private plane’s entry steps. Officers were able to take him into custody and transport him to the Clark County Detention Center.
