LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A motorcyclist died after crashing into a vehicle in northwest Las Vegas Saturday.

Las Vegas Metro Police said the crash happened at 6:19 p.m. at Lake Mead west of Del Webb boulevards.

Police said the motorcyclist sped west on Lake Mead. At the same moment, a Lexus drove east and turned left onto a private drive.

Police said the motorcyclist struck the Lexus. The driver was an 80-year-old woman and she had a passenger.

The press release did not confirm the sex or age of the motorcyclist.

Police said the motorcyclist was separated from their bike. Medical would arrive and transport the motorcyclist and the occupants of the Lexus to UMC Trauma. The motorcyclist died shortly after arriving. The Lexus’ occupants were treated and released.

“The Lexus driver did not display any signs of impairment,” police said. “The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.”

Motorcyclist’s death marks the 38th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for the year 2025.
