LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A woman is dead and a man is hospitalized after a northeast Las Vegas shooting.
Las Vegas police said the shooting happened Sunday around 4:48 p.m. in the 3800 block of Soda Springs Drive. This is near Cheyenne Avenue and Walnut Road.
Dispatch received a report of a shooting in the area. When officers arrived, they found a woman and a man with gunshot wounds.
The woman died at the scene and the man was taken to a nearby hospital. Police did not provide an initial update on his condition.
LVMPD homicide detectives learned the victims were inside a vehicle when several suspects approached the car and fired at the two.
The suspects fled before officers could arrive.
“This is an ongoing investigation,” police said. “The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.”
