LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An arrest report is revealing additional suspects and new details in the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old earlier this month.

17-year-old Jordan Da’Sharp Brown was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on Tuesday, April 16 in connection to the death of Ah’Sioni Henderson, 16. This is one of three teens to be arrested in connection to this murder, according to police.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting in an apartment complex located in the 2100 block of Club Pacific Way on Tuesday, April 9. Arriving officers would locate Henderson on a sidewalk near the complex’s playground, suffering from gunshot wounds to the back and neck.

Henderson was transported to University Medical Center, where he would later be pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives would find a Cimarron-Memorial High School identification card for Henderson, blood, and two spent cartridge cases on the sidewalk. A third unused cartridge was also collected as evidence.

Surveillance video obtained by detectives would show two male suspects waiting beneath an apartment staircase as Henderson and Brown walked toward the playground. The two suspects could be seen suddenly running up to Henderson, and shooting him twice in the back.

One of the suspects could also be seen approaching Henderson’s body and removing an item – later identified as a firearm – from his pants pocket. The two suspects and Brown can be seen fleeing the scene shortly after and getting into a black Dodge Charger.

A friend of Henderson would later tell police that he was on the phone with him at the time of the shooting, and heard two distinct gunshots ring out. He would also later find Henderson’s body on the sidewalk.

The friend would also reveal that Brown was also a student at Cimarron-Memorial High School, and attended school with Henderson.

The arrest report would also note that an anonymous tip would eventually lead to the arrest of Brown, who was taken into custody at his residence. While in custody, Brown would reveal to police that the Ah’Sioni asked him to post a Glock-style handgun on his Instagram to sell the gun.

Brown claims Henderson asked him since he had more followers.

One potential buyer – identified as “Jay,” a friend of Brown’s – reached out to Brown to buy the gun, but also admitted he had prior “beef” with Henderson after a friend was “shoulder-checked” at a party and “guns were drawn,” the report notes.

Brown would tell officers that Jay explained that he was planning to steal the gun from Henderson, and wanted to know his location.

Brown is currently facing charges of open murder, as well as conspiracy to commit murder and robbery with a deadly weapon. He is due in court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday, May 9.
