LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nicole Cannizzaro, the Democratic State Senator Majority Leader, has announced her campaign for Nevada Attorney General Tuesday morning.
Cannizzaro launched her campaign and website alongside a video shared on X.
Cannizzaro began her career in Las Vegas as a career prosecutor with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, before being elected to the Nevada State Senate in 2016, where she became the first woman to serve as Senate Majority Leader.
She will join State Treasurer Zach Conine and Republican candidate Douglas County Commissioner Danny Tarkanian in the race.
Current Attorney General Aaron Ford, who is termed out, announced his intention to run for Nevada governor earlier this year.
