LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A man accused of driving his car through the front doors of a Dollar Tree and attacking a woman with a knife is expected to appear before a Las Vegas judge Tuesday afternoon.

Court records have identified the suspect in Monday’s attack as Shawn Columbus Handley. Handley faces several felony charges, including attempted murder with the use of a deadly weapon, assault with use of a deadly weapon, burglary and battery. He also faces a gross misdemeanor charge of destruction of property.

According to police, the incident started as a domestic dispute between two people near West Craig Road and Decatur Monday morning.
The suspect then drove his car through the front doors of the Dollar tree, got out, and began attacking a woman with a knife. Police say a nearby individual opened fire on the suspect, causing him to flee.
The suspect was later arrested, and the shooter was also detained.
Handley is expected in court at 1:30 p.m.
