Man accused of ramming multiple garage doors sent threatening messages to ex-girlfriend

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — An arrest report obtained by FOX5 is shedding new light on why a valley man allegedly rammed multiple garages with a car in a southwest valley neighborhood.

Chad Walker is facing aggravated stalking, destruction of property, and burglary charges after police say he rammed dozens of homes with his Jeep early Monday morning.

Officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrived in the 5200 block of South Torrey Pines Drive around 3:50 a.m. after a witness called to report her mother’s ex-boyfriend ramming their house with his car. According to the report, the witness stated she was awoken by several loud bangs outside and saw her mother’s ex’s car through the window, speeding away.

While waiting for police to arrive, the witness observed Walker returning to their home to “throw a flashlight into the garage” before fleeing again. The witness also stated that her car had been completely covered by the garage door, which had caved in.

The witness’s mother would later identify the suspect as Walker, who she had dated for a year. She shared that Walker would frequently lash out at her daughter and her, and left them both multiple Facebook messages threatening to beat them. She told police that the relationship ended when she discovered his drug use.

Investigators noted in the arrest report that both women were “visibly scared for their safety” due to Walker being “unpredictably violent.”

Walker was arrested later that morning, around 6:14 a.m., after hitting multiple other homes in the neighborhood.

FOX5 spoke with neighbors who were shocked to learn the motive of Walker from police, after turning over the surveillance camera of Walker ramming their garage.

A judge decided to keep Chad Walker behind bars Tuesday, charging him with multiple felonies in connection to a vandalism spree.

“I was confused, I thought the man was drunk; maybe he was trying to find his house,” Michelle Ellebracht said.

Another neighbor, Erin Lenz expressed similar frustration to FOX5, “I mean, you are angry, that’s one thing, but don’t take it out on everybody else.”

Walker is due back before a judge on Monday, Dec. 1, at 8:30 a.m.
