LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A man was arrested after threats were made involving a Charlie Kirk memorial at a Henderson casino, according to police reports.
The Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center received a report of suspicious activity Sept. 12 from Station Casinos security about threatening phone calls regarding a memorial to conservative commentator Charlie Kirk displayed on the marquee at Sunset Station in Henderson, police documents said.
The first call stated that if the memorial was not removed, the caller would “destroy the sign” and take it down for them. The second call threatened the company’s chief executive officer, the report said.
“Can you tell your boss there to take down that Charlie Kirk image on your sign? If you don’t do that, not only are we going to destroy your sign, we’re going to [expletive] take out your CEO too,” the caller said, according to police documents.
Investigators tracked the caller’s voice-over-Internet Protocol IP address to a coffee shop and eventually to Thomas James Fedikovich, the report said. A search of Fedikovich’s social media footprint found a profile photo showing a T-shirt with an anti-Charlie Kirk message.
A search of the Sunset Station players club membership database resulted in a hit for Fedikovich, with contact information on file, according to police documents. Eventually, the memorial was taken down. The casino received another phone call from the same number, in which the caller said, “Thank you for listening to me.”
Officials decided to press criminal charges. On Sept. 13, Fedikovich was confronted by detectives at the coffee shop to which the calls were tracked. He denied making the threats but was arrested by police, and his devices were seized, the report said.
Fedikovich faces a felony count of coercion with physical force or immediate threat of physical force and misdemeanor harassment.
