LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 27-year-old man was arrested by Las Vegas police on Tuesday after approaching a group of children on their way to school and inappropriately touching one.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, dispatchers received reports of a suspicious male approaching juveniles near a school in the 700 block of Crestdale Lane on Jan. 30 around 9 a.m.
Officers arriving on the scene located 27-year-old Nicholas Donovan.
Following an initial investigation, officers would find that Donovan approached several children on their way to school and attempted to lure them by requesting their help. Police say Donovan would then grab one of the children and inappropriately touch them.
Donovan was arrested and booked into Clark County Detention Center for multiple felony charges, including lewdness with a child younger than 14, coercion with force, and kidnapping of a minor.
Detectives believe that there may be additional victims, and urge anyone who may have been a victim or has information about these crimes to contact the LVMPD Summerlin Area Command at (702) 828-9457.
