LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the July armed robbery of an armored truck in west Las Vegas that netted $300,000, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).

According to a release from the Metro Police, Devonte Jackson, 29, was arrested on charges related to an armored truck robbery that took place in July in west Las Vegas.

The robbery occurred just after noon in the 9800 block of West Charleston Boulevard near Hualapai Way. Sources confirmed to FOX5 that $300,000 was stolen during the incident.

Police said Jackson was taken into custody by Texas state troopers in Centerville, Texas, with the assistance of agents from the FBI. He was booked into McLennan County Jail in Waco, Texas.

Jackson faces one count of robbery with the use of a deadly weapon and one count of coercion with force with the use of a deadly weapon. He will be extradited to Las Vegas, according to law enforcement officials.

Initial reports from the day of the robbery indicated that two armed suspects were outstanding. With the arrest of Jackson, it’s unclear if another suspect is being pursued by law enforcement or if those initial reports were incorrect and Jackson was the sole suspect in the robbery.
