LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A homicide suspect at large for nearly three years was arrested Tuesday, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Jamario Lofton, 26, was identified as a suspect in the case and arrested on March 24, 2026, according to LVMPD.
On April 1, 2023, officers responded to reports of a shooting around 2:20 a.m. in the 5900 block of Tamara Costa Court south of Stewart Avenue and N Sloan Lane, LVMPD report.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found shell casings, clothing items, and blood.
A man later identified as 18-year-old Cutis Smith was dropped off at a hospital in the northwest valley by four individuals before they fled the area, LVMPD report.
According to police, the group was traveling in a vehicle that was spotted at the scene of the shooting.
