LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police arrested a man for a deadly shooting mid-June in the southeast valley.

Metro Police said Calvin Beasley Jr., 39, was arrested on July 4 for open murder with a deadly weapon. His arrest stems from a deadly shooting on Wednesday, June 18, in the 3600 block of South Indios Avenue near Flamingo and Boulder Highway.

That afternoon, police say Beasley Jr. and 27-year-old Derek Siano were in an argument. When Siano was walking away, investigators say the suspect shot him.

Siano died at the scene. Beasley Jr. fled the scene before police could arrive.

Beasley Jr. is expected in court for a status check Wednesday.
