
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 29-year-old Las Vegas man died seven days after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Decatur Boulevard early July 17, police said.
The crash occurred on July 17 just after 4 a.m. near the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Harmon Avenue near Spring Valley in Las Vegas.
Police said a crossover vehicle was traveling south on Decatur Boulevard, where a person on foot, identified as a 29-year-old man from Las Vegas, was crossing outside a marked or implied crosswalk.
The man was thrown to the ground. Emergency medical technicians took him to a local hospital, where he remained for seven days before he died.
The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said. The man’s death is the 95th traffic-related fatality of 2025 in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction. The collision remains under investigation.
