LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Las Vegas jury has handed down a verdict for the man accused of killing two Vietnamese tourists in 2018.

Julius Damiano Deangilo Trotter was given a verdict of life in prison without the possibility of parole on Thursday morning. The same jury found him guilty of stabbing Sang Boi Nghia and Khoung Ba Le Nguyen to death inside their Circus Circus hotel rooms on Tuesday, the Associated Press reported.

The two victims’ bodies were found on June 1, 2018, after they did not show up for a tour group trip. Hotel employees would later determine the door lock on their room didn’t work properly.

Police would identify Trotter as a suspect and arrest him a week later. after he led California officers on a chase.

He has been jailed in Las Vegas while awaiting trial, which was postponed several times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
