LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 20-year-old man died Wednesday night after stealing a motorcycle and then dying in a central valley crash, police say.
According to police, the crash occurred at approximately 8:19 p.m. on West Washington Avenue, west of Rancho Drive.
Police said the motorcyclist was riding a stolen 2019 Honda CRF 450 Enduro motorcycle westbound on Washington, while a 2006 Lexus GS300 traveling eastbound entered a turn lane and made a left turn into a private drive.
The motorcycle collided with the front-right portion of the Lexus during the turn, causing the Honda to overturn and eject the rider.
The motorcyclist was transported to University Medical Center’s trauma center, where he was pronounced dead despite life-saving measures.
The Lexus driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said. No occupants of the Lexus reported injuries.
“The pedestrian’s death marked the 11th traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction in 2026,” police said in a release. “This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section.”
