LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Police say the suspect in a southwest Las Vegas deadly shooting is not yet in custody after killing his girlfriend.
Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said 911 dispatch received a call around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said a woman was inside an apartment near Durango and Blue Diamond with her boyfriend.
Police said the man, described as Hispanic and in his 30s, was grabbing his things when he started to threaten her with a gun. Dispatch heard an altercation, and the phone disconnected.
When officers arrived at the scene, they tried to make contact at the door, but there was no answer. Officers looked through the window and found a woman unresponsive.
Officers said she was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medical arrived and said she died at the scene.
LVMPD Lieutenant Robert Price said the victim is an Asian woman in her 30s. The suspect has not yet been taken into custody, and Price says he may still be armed.
