LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man was shot and killed in North Las Vegas early Sunday morning, according to police.

North Las Vegas Police Department said the shooting happened around 9:05 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 29 at an apartment in the 2900 block of E. Centennial Parkway, near N. Pecos Road. Officers found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his stomach area.

Medical aid was provided to the man but he later died, NLVPD said. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will identify the man once next of kin is notified.

Police said the suspect fled the area before they arrived. Detectives believe the suspect and victim were involved in an argument before the shooting occurred and that they knew each other.
