LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian early Sunday.
It happened on West Flamingo Road near South El Capitan Way just before 5:30 a.m.
Police say a 2024 Kia Forte was heading east on Flamingo when a pedestrian in a wheelchair was crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk. The pedestrian was thrown from the wheelchair onto the roadway.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Police say the driver stayed on scene and showed no signs of impairment.
