LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A domestic disturbance call led to a barricade situation in the east Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday.

According to a preliminary report, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the area of Marion Drive and Bonanza Road for a domestic disturbance call at approximately 11:07 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with the woman involved, who led officers to the 3800 block of Kolanut Lane.

According to police, a man was inside a residence there and he refused to come out. LVMPD said that patrol officers, SWAT and Crisis Negotiators responded to the scene in an effort to “resolve the call peacefully.”

On Wednesday afternoon, Las Vegas police reported that the suspect had been taken into custody. Police advise motorists to avoid the area, as an investigation is ongoing.
