LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – U.S. Marshals revealed that a missing child was found and 38 arrests were made during a sting operation targeting violent offenders in Las Vegas.

The U.S. Marshals Service’s Violent Offenders Task Force concluded the 10-day “Operation Washout” on Friday, July 19. The operation would target some of Las Vegas’ most violent offenders and would result in 38 arrests.

Those arrests would include two arrests for homicide, 14 for aggravated assault, two for burglary, one for robbery, six for drug offenses, seven for firearms offenses, and 13 arrests for sex offenses.

The missing child was discovered with their mother, who had an outstanding arrest warrant, according to marshals.

U.S. Marshal Gary Schofield said, “This operation wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of our partner law enforcement agencies. Their dedication and teamwork help make our communities safer and stronger for everyone.”

Notable fugitives arrested during the operation include:

  • Eric Martinez was arrested on July 10 on charges of Sexual Assault of a Child and Fraud.
  • Christopher Woods was arrested on July 13 on charges of Lewdness with a Child Under the Age of 16, Child Abuse, Neglect or Endangerment, and Use of a Minor in Producing Pornography.
  • Juan Jose Cisneros was arrested on July 13 on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Short Barrel Shotgun, and Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person.
  • Jeffrey Leonard was arrested in Ensenada, Mexico, on July 15. He was wanted by the U.S. District Court of Nevada – Las Vegas for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and Supervised Release Violations with an underlying charge of Coercion and Enticement of a Minor.
  • Christian Soto was arrested on July 17 on charges of Kidnapping, Sexual Assault, Battery to Commit Sexual Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Battery to Commit Sexual Assault, and Battery by Strangulation to Commit Sexual Assault.
  • Anthony Ayala was arrested on July 17 on charges of Sexual Assault, Coercion Constituting Domestic Violence, Battery Constituting Domestic Violence (Strangulation), and Battery with Intent to Commit Sexual Assault.
  • Rocky Floyd Arbaugh was arrested on July 18 on two Nevada Parole Violations for Murder and Robbery.
