LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Police have safely located a 14-year-old girl from Colorado who had been missing since mid-June, in Las Vegas, and two men are in custody facing charges related to her disappearance, authorities said.

Law enforcement officials located the teen in Las Vegas at a suspect’s home on Wednesday, police said. Investigators determined that a suspect, identified as Christian Williamson, 26, picked up the teen on June 16 and drove her to a hotel in Lakewood, Colorado.

The following day, police said, a second suspect in the disappearance — identified as Cameron Scruggs, 25 — drove from Las Vegas to pick up the teen from Williamson. An unidentified woman accompanied Scruggs during the incident, according to police.

The girl, who investigators said left her Aurora, Colorado, home on the evening of June 15, had been missing since then, prompting urgent calls from law enforcement agencies and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Her family offered a $5,000 reward for information to help bring her home.

Police said the teen’s parents located her journal, which contained “a detailed plan of the runaway,” as well as the names of possible suspects and other information to assist detectives in finding the girl.

According to the Aurora Police Department, authorities arrested Williamson. He faces charges of internet sexual exploitation of a child and internet luring of a child. Police said the charges stem from prior communication between Williamson and the teen that dated back several months.

Scruggs, who was also taken into custody, faces kidnapping charges in Colorado and statutory sexual seduction charges in Nevada, police said.
