LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man riding a motorcycle died after colliding with a pickup truck in west Las Vegas Tuesday night.
According to the release from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officials, the collision occurred just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of West Charleston Boulevard and Monticello Drive in west Las Vegas.
There, police said a pickup truck failed to yield to traffic while turning into a private driveway. A motorcyclist traveling the opposite way tried to stop but struck the pickup truck and overturned.
Emergency medical technicians arrived, but the motorcyclist, identified only as a 39-year-old man, was not able to be resuscitated and was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene, and that impairment was not suspected to be a factor in the crash. The incident remained under investigation by police and became the 85th traffic-related fatality of 2025 in LVMPD jurisdiction.
