LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 35-year-old motorcyclist died Thursday from injuries sustained in a September crash, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said.
The man was riding a 2025 Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle southbound on Western Avenue north of Neon Gateway on Sept. 4, 2025, at approximately 12:32 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and struck the west curb, according to police.
The motorcycle and rider continued southwest before striking a City of Las Vegas light pole.
Medical personnel transported the motorcyclist to UMC Trauma for substantial injuries. Police said the motorcyclist was not suspected of being impaired.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead by medical staff at AMG Specialty Hospital on Jan. 23, 2026. The Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner contacted police Friday to report the death.
Police said the death will not be classified as a traffic fatality for federal reporting purposes because it occurred outside the 30-day period established by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Deaths attributable to crash-related injuries occurring outside this period are fully investigated but not assigned a fatal number for federal reporting.
The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
