LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada State Police identified the motorcyclist involved in a deadly south valley crash.

According to NSP just before 5 p.m. officials responded to the crash at the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Paradise Road.

Investigations revealed a blue 2024 Harley Davidson motorcycle was speeding west on Warm Springs Road when they ran a red light and entered the intersection.

Police say a black 2020 Lexus sedan entered the intersection at a green light when the rider and driver collided. The motorcyclist struck the front of the vehicle causing them to be ejected.

The rider was identified as 50-year-old Las Vegas native Russell Allen Ellison. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Nevada State Police Highway Patrol are investigating the incident. Officials report 15 fatal crashes have occured on Nevada Highways in 2025 so far.
