According to TMZ, a private service is scheduled for next Monday, with a public memorial to be held at a later date.
Raines rose to prominence after founding Beauty 2 The Streetz, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing beauty and hygiene services to people living in homeless areas.
What began as a mission to restore dignity to those experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles expanded to include outreach in Las Vegas as well.
Affectionately known as “Ms. Shirley,” Raines believed that everyone deserved to feel beautiful and cared for, regardless of their circumstances. Her organization provided haircuts, styling, nail care, and essential hygiene products to those who needed them most.
