LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – NV Energy says areas of Mt. Charleston will be under a PSOM Watch this weekend.
PSOM stands for Public Safety Outage Management. It’s meant to prevent wildfires based on extreme weather conditions. NV Energy says the watch will be in effect for Kyle Canyon and Angel Peak.

If NV Energy does decide to de-energize the area, it would start around 3 p.m. Friday and last until 1 p.m. Saturday.
