LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — After an extended outage, many are logging into the new Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR) website for the first time.

The agency’s website returned on Monday after a week-long outage for maintenance, which officials said was intended to modernize the benefits system. Officials said the transformation would enable faster, more user-friendly, and mobile-accessible services, and had been a long time coming.

“This transformation is the result of years of planning and development,” said Christopher Sewell, director of DETR.

Officials said the department would be sharing the new features with the public in the coming weeks.

For those who need help working with the new-look DETR system, including Claimant Self-Service (CSS) there are more than 30 how-to videos available on the website.

Included is a walkthrough on creating an account published to the State of Nevada Unemployment Insurance YouTube channel. Videos are available in both English and Spanish.
