LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5)—According to the latest Nevada Department of Public Safety report, fatal crashes have increased in 2024 compared to 2023.

Officials report in Nevada, there are 1.74% more lives lost in fatal crashes compared to last year.

The leading causes of these lost lives are said to be impairment and speeding.

There are 83 pedestrian fatalities and 47 unrestrained motorists accounted for in the state, according to the report.
