LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nellis Air Force Base announced, effective immediately, the Trusted Traveler Program is temporarily suspended until further notice.

Officials say all visitors to the air force base who do not have a Department of Defense ID card will require a base pass from the visitor control center to access the base.

Nellis says the order comes from U.S. Northern Command.

Several other military bases around the country have also suspended the program, citing the Vegas explosion and New Orleans attack.

FOX5 has reached out to Nellis for more information.
