LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — State offices and services in Nevada will remain closed Tuesday following a network security incident as recovery efforts disrupt systems for a second day.

In a release just before 9 a.m., Gov. Joe Lombardo’s office confirmed that state offices would once again be closed on Tuesday, continuing the problems that hampered those services for a second day. Critical employees and operations will continue, the release said.

The “network security incident” began on Sunday, according to a Monday release. Recovery efforts caused disruptions to state systems, affecting websites and phone lines.

No evidence was found of any compromise of personal information, the governor’s office said. Home internet and mobile phone services were unaffected.

DMV officials told people with Monday appointments that they could walk in over the next two weeks without rescheduling. It has not yet been confirmed whether the policy will extend to those with Tuesday appointments as disruptions continue.
