LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada’s Attorney General is fighting back against a number of federal orders from the Trump Administration. Wednesday night, he joined Attorneys General from other western states to explain how Nevada is taking action. This is a comprehensive list shared during the townhall:

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford says he is doing this to stop federal government overreach.
“I am not afraid… of not winning re-election… I am not afraid what comes next because I recognize what my priorities are and so that frees me up to act in a way that is bold, that is in the face of opposition,” Ford told the crowd. Ford took part in the townhall in Denver, Colorado with Attorneys General of Colorado, Washington and Hawaii. The AG’s, all democrats, say the administration’s unconstitutional actions have harmed their constituents. Members of the audience shared the impacts the rapid changes at the federal level have had on their lives.
While Ford is pushing back on moves already made, the Trump Administration continues to make cuts. A new internal memo shows plans to cut roughly a third of the federal health budget including programs for chronic disease prevention, HIV/AIDS prevention, programs on gun violence, minority health, and rural health programs.
