Nevada DUI blitz results in 49 arrests, 38 suspected impaired drivers

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada State Police released results from the latest DUI blitz over the holiday weekend, which resulted in nearly 50 people behind bars.

The operation conducted 818 traffic stops, issued 414 citations, made 49 arrests and identified 38 drivers suspected of being under the influence. Multiple law enforcement agencies across the state participated in the effort aimed at removing impaired drivers from roads, including California Highway Patrol who focused on I-15 near the state line.

The operation also honors the lives of Sergeant Abbate and Trooper Felix, who were killed by an impaired driver in 2023.

During last year’s DUI blitz, highway patrol made 540 traffic stops, issued more than 250 citations and made 45 arrests.
