LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total gaming win of $1.34 billion in January 2026, a 6.55% decrease compared to January 2025, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1.44 billion, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
For the fiscal year running July 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026, gaming win has increased 0.69% compared to the same period the prior year.
Clark County reported a gaming win of $1.16 billion in January, an 8.36% decrease compared to January 2025.
The Las Vegas Strip posted the steepest decline among major markets, falling 11% to $747.7 million compared to $840.1 million in January 2025. Downtown Las Vegas reported $79.4 million, a 5.17% decrease. The Boulder Strip reported $81.2 million, down 6.97%.
North Las Vegas was a bright spot in Clark County, posting a 4.75% increase to $24.97 million.
Several markets posted year-over-year gains in January:
- Mesquite: $19.8 million, up 14.09%
- Wendover: $25.7 million, up 14.72%
- Elko County: $36.9 million, up 12.88%
- Sparks: $15 million, up 10.47%
- South Lake Tahoe: $24.6 million, up 10.30%
- Washoe County: $93.9 million, up 4.19%
- Reno: $69 million, up 2.90%
The state collected $100.9 million in percentage fees in February 2026, based upon taxable revenues generated in January 2026. This represents a 7.08% decrease compared to the prior year’s January, when percentage fee collections were $108.6 million.
Fiscal year-to-date percentage fee collections total $702.8 million, a 2.06% increase compared to the same period in fiscal year 2025.
