LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Despite previous hopes to wrap things up by Sunday, the 36th Annual Special Session continues into Day 5 with several bills hoping to clear the final hurdle Monday.

Over the weekend, the several bills would unanimously advance, including:

  • AB1 (Cybersecurity Bill) – Advanced out of Assembly Saturday, headed to Senate for debate.
  • AB4 (Governor’s Crime Bill) – Stalled in Senate Committee Sunday.
  • AB5 (Film Bill) – Passed out of Senate committee Sunday, headed to Senate floor for final vote.
  • AB6 (School Zone Bill) – Passed out of Senate committee Sunday, headed to Senate floor for final vote.
  • SB6 (Windsor Park Funding) – Passed out of Assembly committee Sunday, headed to Assembly for final vote.

Senate Bill 3, a bill to address gaps in SNAP funding, is only bill so far to be headed for Governor Joseph Lombardo’s desk to be signed into law.

9:40 a.m. — Senate goes into recess.

9:30 a.m. — Senate session opens with roll call and a prayer. Committees recommend bills AB4 and AB6 advance, AB5 will also head to the floor for a final Senate vote.
