LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The state of Nevada is helping essential workers get access to affordable housing.

The Worker Advantage Program is offering $20,000 in down payment assistance to people working in healthcare, education, public safety and construction.

“All that it requires is that you are a 6-month resident and an essential worker,” according to Josie Hatem, a Homebuyer Program specialist.

In all, the program has a budget of $18 million, which would be enough for 900 applications. The money will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The new program was approved during the 2025 Legislative session. For more information, click here.
