LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar reported an increase of 14,238 active registered voters in May, compared to April. 

According to a report from the Secretary of State’s office, the total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 1,997,473, an increase of 0.72%. Nonpartisan active registered voters increased by 6,490 (0.97%), Democratic Party active registered voters statewide increased by 2,741 (0.46%) and Republican Party active registered voters statewide increased by 3,961 (0.70%). 

Independent American Party active registered voters increased by 968 (1.12%), and Libertarian Party of Nevada active registered voters increased by 76 (0.46%). Active registered voters from a compilation of “other” minor political parties increased by 2 (0.01%).

Of the 1,997,473 active registered voters in Nevada:

  • 674,490 are Nonpartisan (33.77%);
  • 605,658 are Democrats (30.32%);
  • 574,244 are Republicans (28.75%);
  • 87,645 are members of the Independent American Party (4.39%);
  • 16,541 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (0.83%); and
  • 38,895 are members of other minor political parties (1.95%).
