LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada Senator Dina Neal is recovering from heart surgery in Reno.
According to a spokesperson from the Nevada Senate Democrats, Neal underwent an “emergency medical procedure for her heart” on Tuesday at Renown Health. The senator thanks the team for their “support and dedication.”
“At this time, Senator Neal asks that her privacy be respected. She is spending time with her family while she recovers,” the spokesperson said.
Neal has served in the Nevada legislature since 2011 when she was sworn in as an assemblywoman. She was elected to the senate in 2020.
