RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Nevada State Fire Marshal Joe Rodriguez has been fired after his arrest for DUI.
Rodriguez is facing a misdemeanor charge DUI charge stemming from an incident on Feb. 21.
Rodriguez was fired on Thursday after being placed on administrative suspension pending an investigation from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office and an internal admin review.
The State Fire Marshal will temporarily operate under the oversight of the Department of Public Safety/State Police Investigation Division.
