LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada State Police Highway Patrol are investigating a deadly crash where a car was found turned on its side.

According to NSP the crash happened on Sunday March 16, around 2 p.m. near Lee Canyon Road and the Mount Charleston Recreational Area.

A silver 2012 Jeep Wrangler and a silver 2022 GMC Sierra pickup were both driving east on State Route 156.

Police report the Jeep tried to drive pass the GMC. When the driver entered the opposite lane a Toyota pickup entered at the same time driving toward the Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep attempted to swerve out of the way which caused the vehicle to roll over and eject the driver.

The driver of the Jeep was later identified as Las Vegas native Joshua Gilbert-Amado Hernandez, 23.

Hernandez dies on the scene.

Officials report 13 fatal crashes have occured in 2025 so far.
