LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A suspected hit-and-run driver is in the hospital Monday after running from police through a Henderson neighborhood.
According to Nevada State Police, the hit-and-run initially occurred on Green Valley Parkway and the I-215 just north of a nearby Smith’s parking lot. Police say the male driver involved pushed his car into the parking lot following the crash.
As police approached, he ran away on foot. After a pursuit along Valle Verde between Wigwam and Windmill, the suspect was apprehended and taken to a nearby hospital.
Police shared that since the suspect was injured in the crash, a detainer will be placed on him while he’s being treated since a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Other charges may be pending, police add, but are unknown at this time.
This is a developing story, check back later for updates.
