LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The DUI case against Nevada State Senator Edgar Flores has reached a resolution.

Las Vegas Metro Police arrested him last year after he was caught asleep behind the wheel. Flores was not in court Wednesday, but his attorney entered a no contest plea on his behalf.

Under the plea deal, he’ll complete DUI school, attend a victim impact panel, and pay a $685 fine. The charge will be reduced to careless driving once those requirements are met.

This was the senator’s first accused offense.
