LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Clark County said Nevada Task Force 1 is deploying to Texas to help in flood recovery efforts.

The task force consists for 47 people and four K9s. Officials say they will assist in search and rescue ad recovery operations in Kerr County.

NV-TF1 was deployed by the Federal Emergency Management System.

The team will leave around 6 p.m. Tuesday night.

Clark County says Nevada Task Force 1 is compromised of the: Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, Henderson Fire Department, and North Las Vegas Fire Department, as well as members from multiple other disciplines.

Texas was hit by flooding over the Fourth of July weekend. Deaths have surpassed over 100 and authorities continue to search for flood victims.
