LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The largest free job fair in Nevada is scheduled for Friday at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall, with more than 130 employers and 6,500 jobs available.
Positions span a range of industries, including hospitality, government, education, social services, law enforcement, transportation, retail, food services and healthcare. Many employers will conduct interviews and make hiring decisions on-site.
David Schmidt, chief economist for the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, said the state had 72,000 job openings as of February 2026.
“There’s still lots of opportunity. There’s lots of job openings,” Schmidt said. “And what really matters at an event like this is that individual connection between workers and employers. One person finds one job at one company.”
