LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Boyd Gaming executives announced Thursday plans to transform Joker’s Wild Casino into a brand new property.

During a quarterly call, the gaming company said it will close Joker’s Wild to make room for a new property dubbed ‘Cadence Crossing Casino.’

Boyd Gaming said construction will begin later this year.

When the current casino shutters all employees will transfer to the new property. It is expected to open in early 2026.

The 15-acre site is directly adjacent to the community of Cadence. The property will feature a 10,000-square-foot casino with 450 slots, several dining options and live entertainment.

Keith Smith, president and CEO, explains the property will be designed for expansion as the community grows. Boyd Gaming’s future plans could call for additional casino space and even a hotel and more amenities.

The Cadence master plan will have more than 12,000 homes when all is said and done. Right now, around 5,200 homes have been built.
