LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The newest renderings of the Mt. Charleston Lodge have arrived!
Before burning down in September 2021, the Mt. Charleston Lodge stood for nearly 60 years. Luckily, no one was injured in the fire.
The lodge stands at an elevation of more than 7,000 feet at the top of the mountain in Kyle Canyon’s Humboldt Toiyabe National Forest.
Designed by Steelman Partners, the lodge’s new design revamps the iconic look of the iconic landmark.
Plans for the reconstruction of the lodge were approved last December by county officials. A large part of the agreement included additional parking spots for visitors after officials saw high demand.
Additional approved changes include, according to submitted county documents, the maximum height of the property being raised from 35 to 47 feet at the peak of the “A” frame. A spokesperson for the project said the two-story parking structure is 12 feet above the ground, and the first floor is underground. The whole property will now have 185 parking spots.
The 3D renderings show the layout of the 25,000-square-foot venue, which will have outdoor decks with mountain views, restaurants, bars, and a fireplace. Additionally, guests can reserve private areas for weddings, birthdays, or other events.
