LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County commissioners approved plans for a new retail plaza in the expanding Chinatown area near Spring Mountain and Wynn Road.
The Jade Promenade will be built on a 73,000-square-foot property that was originally owned by Caesars. Developer Kaveh purchased the property for $19 million and plans a two-phase development expected to cost around $70 million.
“Again, the vibe would be just, you know, for people to come to be able to hang out, you know, not just grab something and go, you know, they probably have dinner in one place and have dessert next door or a bubble tea or matcha tea, which is very popular in Chinatown,” Kaveh said.
Phase one will focus on dining and shops, mostly food and beverage establishments. Phase two could add a neighboring apartment complex with around 150 units.
Kaveh said he is already getting inquiries from a variety of potential tenants for the project. He hopes to break ground by the end of this year.
