LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police attempted a traffic stop on the suspect accused of a deadly crash at Flamingo and Pecos roads.

FOX5 obtained a police report for 32-year-old Nikki Serrat. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department accuses her of reckless driving and hit-and-run charges.

Police said she drove 66.5 mph before the crash happened on Nov. 8. Four vehicles were involved.

One of the cars had four children inside. Two children were sent to the hospital, treated and released. The two other children died.

The Clark County coroner identified them as 6-year-old Taliyah Lewis and 11-year-old Dante Lewis.

That day, police were notified that a Lexus was stolen from a car rental. Officers spotted the Lexus eastbound on Desert Inn.

When officers turned on their lights to initiate a traffic stop, police said Serrat sped away. She drove up to 73 mph.

Serrat had two passengers with her. One of her passengers told her to stop for police, according to an interview.

Right before the crash, one passenger yelled, “Nikki, no!”

After the crash, witnesses and other drivers involved told officers she fled on foot heading northbound.

Police obtained gas station video surveillance showing how the crash happened. Serrat also stopped at a gas station before the crash.

The next day, police found her in North Las Vegas at her cousin’s house. She had a hand injury. Police said she had an active Nevada Parole and Probation warrant related to an escaped prisoner case.

More records revealed she has a long local criminal history of stolen property, narcotics, and weapons charges.

Police would learn that she does not have an active driver’s license in any state, but a valid ID card in Nevada.
