LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man is dead after colliding with a light pole in North Las Vegas on Friday.

Officers with the North Las Vegas Police Department responded to the single-vehicle crash around 5:23 p.m. near Craig Road and Donna Street. Upon arrival, officers located a man believed to be in his 40s, suffering from a head injury.

Medical crews transported the man to UMC Trauma, where he would later die.

An investigation revealed that a Nissan Versa was traveling west on Craig, approaching Donna Street, and left the roadway before striking a light pole.

Detectives add that the Nissan driver was not wearing a seatbelt. Impairment is also believed to be a factor in the crash.
